Having been around the college scene for more than forty years, I have had the
opportunity to meet many leaders in academia. In this new series I take pictures of
Chicana and Chicano Profs and leaders whenever the opportunity arises.
I focus my lens on the old ones. Yes, they are easier to corral then the new ones. I
figure that next year, some of them might not be around. In this example I purposefully
exaggerated the colors by using HDR. Again, this is Eduardo Díaz, the director of the
Smithsonian Latino Center in Washington DC. He was on a panel at the 2013 National
Association for Chicana and Chicano Studies conference in San Antonio.
