Chicano Photographer is a historic collection of documentary photographs exploring San José, California and its growing Chicano community from 1970 to 1975. The images illuminate the activists, artists, issues and landscape of that period. For this important series Garza gleaned hundreds of images from his extensive personal archive. Garza has lectured about and exhibited these photographs from coast to coast and internationally. Again, this is only a sample of the images from the Chicano Photographer archive. If you have any questions, please contact the artist.
